This Week...

President Chris began the meeting by discussing upcoming events. Nick Kahrilas led the Pledge of Allegiance. Lenny led us in song with "America the Beautiful".

First craft talk by Curt Smith, a new member who used to be part of the Century City Rotary Club for the past 19 years. He spoke about his father and mother. His father was a journalist for the Marines during WWII. He studied geology and considers nature to be his temple. He eventually became a State Farm agent in the the 1980's and has had a very successful career in insurance.

The second craft talk was by Tom Barron. Tom worked as an accountant for many years. He started out in the same firm as Don Nelson. He eventually went on to start a Bible study group in his spare time that has blossomed into a very successful venture. He began this enterprise with a colleague and it has now grown into an extensive teaching vehicle for many devotees in various parts of the Southland.

Two very entertaining and informative craft talks.
